June

6:50 a.m. seems like an ideal time to wake up, shortly after the sun has risen and only minutes before the cutest baby in the world opens his eyes and gives you the biggest toothless grin ever. This morning's wake-up call came a little later than average by the usual high-pitched barking/whining of a chocolate lab named June. June is unfortunate to have owners that tie her up, in their fenced in yard, each morning for at least 30 minutes. She has been our rooster, if you will, for all of four months here on Little Rock Air Force Base. She will be our wake-up call for about another month before we move out of this typical on-base house.
Base housing is the same pretty much everywhere. This is our 4th on-base living experience. The houses are very close together, made with very thin walls. Although we have always enjoyed living on-base we have decided it's time for a change and when we move to Fayetteville, NC in June we are hoping to find a nice off-base rental!
